National High School Organ Competition @ Baylor University

Following the tremendous success of the first National High School Organ Competition last year, we are delighted to announce that the second edition is going to take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, once again at Baylor University.
The competition will take place on the Létourneau organ (III/56) at Powell Chapel. Each contestant performing a work by J.S. Bach, one contrasting work from any other period, and (optionally) a hymn.
The following cash prizes will be awarded:
- Grand Prize: $1,000 (in memory of Dr. Joyce Jones)
- Bach Prize: $500 (sponsored by the Central Texas Chapter of the AGO)
- Young Organist Prize: $500 (sponsored by Létourneau Pipe Organs)
- Hymn Prize: $250 (sponsored by Wolf Pipe Organs)
